Well, I couldn't figure out how to use other synths. there only appeared to be espeak.

There is a screen reader mode. The language list is kinda out of place though, and no there is not only espeak, there is also openEVV aka eloquence and sapi5

Woops, I feel stupid. I just figured it out. I am using my favourite synth ever, eloquence!
