My first computer was when I was 12 years old. The first accessible computer I had. So really the first computer I was ever able to use I got when I was 12 or 13. I had gotten it from my baseball coach. It was a Dell Inspiron 600.
I had it for well until like two years ago. Circumstances happened and yeah something happened and yeah. Well then I went to Louisiana this past summer and my uncle gave me a Dell Inspiron 8200 I believe. It's slow as crap and I'm on it right now as we speak. But it was the only thing that Morphox would work on.
So I'm actually thinking about possibly selling my desktop and just using my laptop perhaps. I don't know. I might just keep the desktop. But I'm trying to get to where Morphox will work on my desktop too. But you know.

Hello, this is Hope. The first computer that I saw belonged to my uncle, and that was one of the first Apples, the kind that you had to program and put floppy disks in and so on and so forth. Let's see, I went to a computer class in, I don't know, 1995. Worked on an old desktop. It didn't have the internet. No, not like I do now. I went to the University of New Orleans and went to their computer school.
And we sort of improved. We got the internet then. I had a couple of Gateways, Dells, not sure, two Dells, and now I got this refurbished Dell laptop.

Well, my first computer was a Windows 98 first edition machine. It was a local cloned machine. I'm not exactly sure what it was cloned after, but it was a brand name Premio. And I'm not sure if they're related to, you know, I'm not sure if they're local or what, but it was a Premio Windows 98 first edition desktop.
Sorry, that was Twitter. Let's see, it had a 6 gig hard drive. Boy, that was a lot of space back then. It had, let's see, I think it was 128 megabytes of RAM or maybe it was 256. I can't remember. It wasn't that much. I've actually still got it out there in the garage and it actually still works.
So that was my first personal computer and that was back in 1999. I've been using computers since I was six years old, back in 1986 was when I first used Jaws for DOS and I loved it and I was dragged kicking and screaming into Windows in 1995. And so, you know, there you go, my contribution.

I made my first computer. It was a netbook. See, the first computer I actually owned was a netbook that used Windows XP. I got it the night I graduated. After my ceremony, I went to a friend of mine's house and I got my own laptop that night. It was pretty cool.
I couldn't use the internet yet because dad didn't have a router. He got one at the start of the weekend and my brother helped install it and I was able to get on the internet with it. But it had a hardware malfunction after probably nine months of usage. Then that's what led me to get this current laptop I've got now, which is an Acer that uses Windows 7. I got it at the end of May of last year. I've had it for a long time.
It'll be two years at the end of next May. I haven't had much of a problem with it yet. That's about my first computer and what led me to have my current computer I've got now.

Hi. The first time when I was introduced to computers was in 1999. That was then of course all Windows 16. And that was the first versions of JAWS that came out and so on. And then it took quite some time before a computer entered into this house here.
I think it was in 2004 or so because computers were then not that cheap. So it was quite a challenge I think for me to learn how to use it. But slowly but surely I made it. And now I'm sitting here before a laptop. And I might say that I can use it now quite reasonably well.

Erin, are you using an Acer? I had one two years ago. It crashed. We had an electrical surge. I wasn't even on my computer. It was just up in the wall recharging. Boom! I went to turn it on the next day. It did not work.

Yeah, as I said previously, my laptop, my first laptop had a hardware malfunction and just stopped working. So, and then a few months, like a month or month and a half later, that's how I got my Acer. That's, I've had it for almost two years. It'll be two years at the end of May. End of next May.

Hey everyone, it's Jake again, and the reason I'm back here is because I got a laptop. I posted over in the text forms about this, but my dad gave it to me for Christmas last year, I guess.
And it's a Dell laptop. It's got Windows 7, which I have downstairs on a few of the computers down there in my building, and I like it.
And I also, this weekend, got a new headset to go with the laptop. My old one has a short in it, so I got this one, which is good.
It's, like I said, it's a good laptop. In fact, I just shut it down for the night. I'm about to go to bed. And so, yeah.

Excuse me again. My first computer, let's see. First one I've ever worked on. Windows 98 desktop in about 2000 at Louisiana School for the Blind. When I first learned how to use JAWS. And yeah. And I remember, I don't believe they had Windows 2000.
I haven't installed yet. Then my first personal computer, which is my own obviously, was back in '07. I got a Dell PC with XP Service Pack 2. And then in '08, I got myself my first MacBook. Yay for Mac. No. Yeah, got myself my first MacBook and now I have a MacBook Pro, which I'm proud of.

The first computer I had was an excellent thing. It was a DOS machine and it was like wonderful. It worked very fast. It had a built-in Braille display and a tiny little screen for sighted people. And I really loved it. I wonder where it went. I'll have to search through my old things. But it had Windows too, but I didn't have the right software. So I just ran it on Windows.
And there was those games like Labyrinth, Word Chase and all that. And I played those games all the time. And I made my school work on it and everything.

Well, my first computer wasn't actually a computer, it was a BroNote. I used a BroNote from 4th to, like, 7th grade, and I'm sure you guys know, a lot of you guys know what a BroNote looks like, and it was one of those old classic models on Keysoft 4 point something, I think it was 4.
But, I still remember using that. There was no internet back then, and I didn't use internet until, like, 8th grade. Then my first actual, actual computer was my dad's old Windows 95. I didn't go on computers before. I think my dad had some 95s, some 98s around the house, so it was, like, 95 or 98.
I used it. And so, yeah, I mean, I'm sure you guys know what those big tower metal 98s were. They're, like, metal boxes, and there was, like, a floppy disk, and maybe a CD drive? But I don't know. I know exactly what, I remember it was big, it was heavy, it was metal. Not, like, they're metal now, but they're more of a plasticky kind of comfort, or, like, they feel smoother.
This was actual metal. You can actually feel the metal, and it actually got hot. Um, but, I'm sure you actually know what those looks like, so I want this, it was pretty standard, so I won't go into it. Um, yeah, well, that's my first computer for you. Not very special. This is Moony, by the way. Or Rachel. Listen to little

Yeah, I made my first computer. It was a Gateway netbook that used Windows XP. It lasted me nine months. I got it the night I graduated high school, and I thought it was the best thing I ever got. The only negative thing was it didn't have a CD drive, so I had to use my dad's computer to rip CDs, which was a little disappointing, but hey, you know, it's a netbook, so what do you expect?
Nine months, and it had a hardware malfunction, and the geek squad at Best Buy didn't bother to fix it, so we took it to, tried to take it to Best Buy and hope they'd fix it, but they never did. They just trashed it. So, about a few months later, I got my second computer, which is what I got now. It's an Acer using Windows 7, also a netbook. It's smaller than the Gateway XP. So, yeah.

Oh boy, this is an interesting topic. My first computer was, well, at school they had the Windows computers running XP when I was 2000, not, they were running Windows 98 when I was in grad school.
I was in grade one and I remember learning how to type on a program called IntelliTalk. I remember using several other programs. And then they upgraded to Windows XP a few years later. Then I went to high school and I was still using Windows XP but the computers were slightly better. And then someone gave me a Pentium 3 running XP.
And then I was given a laptop. It was a HP, I think, running XP as well. And that was quite good. I had several games on there and it was quite good for school. And then I got a Dell. That was another HP and that died. And my current laptop, well, my netbook is also a HP so they're in my computers.
And that's it from me for now.

That's my more recent computer, as I jumped from that metal, stupid, broken 98 that didn't work. Yeah, it eventually, 95, eventually didn't like to work and it overheated and it went one mile per hour when I went to the internet, of course, you know. That was new. And so, uh, after that crap, I got, um, an XP computer broke and
uh, dad tried buying me an XP, it got stolen. Never used it. So, um, I used his 98, but when I got my second XP, um, I use it and it's still at home. I don't use it anymore. I call it Grandpa. Because it's literally so old and it doesn't like to work and it crashes all the time and the
software is really bad and the internet goes pretty slow. Not as slow as 95, but pretty darn slow and you have to wait a million years and, and then you have to work with it, you know. And it can't, all sorts of registry problems and whatever you can think of. All sorts of issues that shouldn't be happening.
Um, so, and then, um, I, for my birthday, it was already slow in my, I used it from seventh, like 2006, because I used it for, because it's seven years old now. So, May 7th grade until about senior year.

I see, this computer's trying to be as grumpy as Grandpa. Anyway. Um... But, so, I was like, Dad, Dad. I'm on 18th birthday, senior year, you know? Um... Never really give me presents. It's like, Dad, Dad. I know what I want for a present. Can you get me a laptop? I want one. And so I kind of, uh... Got one. Kind of worked on it and got one.
And so, it's this laptop I'm talking on. I'd say... Not that much. It's about three years now. Um, I got it my 18th birthday. So, like, two years and something. And then I have a computer that's a year... Old. And...
Um... It will be two years in August. And then I got a netbook. This thing. And it's, uh... From, um... Rehab. They got me a netbook. To... For school and such. Um... So... That's three computers. And then I have a very new computer. It's only about a month old.
Nearly two now. But... It's not a Windows machine. All three of these are Windows machines. The one I got on my 18th birthday is Windows 7. The one I'm talking on. The netbook is Windows 7. As I said, I have an XP at home. The big desktop. That's broken. And then I got myself a Mac. Yes. MacBook. MacBook Pro. Running, uh...

So yeah, it's a MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion. That's voiceover, love it. That's my computer history. If I get any more, it might be Macs because I don't like the idea of Windows 8. So, probably not going to get one. I did buy my sister a Windows 8.
So, she could say that's her first own computer. And my first one, I don't even know what brand it is. My second one is an SS. My third one's a Dell. And obviously, my third one's a MacBook Pro. So, it's an Apple computer. Yep. That's my computer history. Pretty fun.
I mostly know Windows. I'm now a proud user of the Mac.

The problem I was having, since that was a very old-fashioned computer, was that I had to use floppy drives or whatever and such, and that wasn't good. And then I got another one, which was kind of standard. It didn't have a built-in Braille display, but I got it with a Braille display that had like two sets.
And then I switched to Alva, and that wasn't very interesting, because a lot of people that I know have Alva satellites. Though I still preferred my DOS one before my first Windows computer, because of the fact that...
...I was so young when I got my Windows computer, it was kind of scaring me when it talked. Which is kind of strange, because look at me now, here I am, and mine talks all the time, and it doesn't frighten me at all. That's kind of hilarious. Oh well, that's the way it is.

Oh man, you wanna listen to my computer history thingy? Actually, I have to think where it started. My first computer contact was with some kind of Windows, actually, because I'm quite young. Means 18, and I started computer things with 6, so it's 12 years ago. I think it was... No, it can't be Windows XP, or actually it could be, but I think it was Windows 2000.
Or Windows 98, whatever. Something like that. That's where I learned writing and reading and using a prior display and using speech synthesizers and all that. Then I actually became my own computer, which was a laptop from Acer, which was bad, but it worked for 5 years in school.
Actually, it had Windows XP already. Then I switched to another laptop because the old one was too bad and broke. The display broke and all that kind of stuff. I got new technology 5 years ago. 4 or 5 years ago. Which was Lenovo, actually. And it is at the moment. Which was the laptop 2. Kind of better one, but also Windows XP.
And then I bought my desktop PC, which is standing around here, which is a Windows 7. And then I got new technology, which isn't usable in school yet, but it has Windows 7 and it's Lenovo 2 and it's a laptop and whatever. And that's my whole history. But I touched loads of PCs because I'm redesigning. Not redesigning, but setting up new systems and that kind of stuff. Privately. For friends. Yeah. And because time is running, that's my computer history.

Oh man, I just noticed that I said I became my own computer, which is... I think my teacher told me to not use this phrase in the sixth class or something like that, which is actually six or seven years ago. I'm quite tired at the moment. It's just too late. But you know what I mean. I got it. I got my first own computer.
It was something like... It must be nearly ten years ago. Something like that. Actually, as I said, some new laptops standing around here. I saw loads of computers and laptops and PCs and whatever because I'm reinstalling them. So if someone has problems with the computer, he just takes it to me and I'm going to clear it up and install the new Windows onto it and install all the drivers and all that kind of stuff.
And that's why I know loads of computers and computer settings and some more or less about hardware and technology and that kind of stuff. And yeah. That much about my computer history, which isn't very long yet, but it will be longer, I think. I can't do anything for my age or against my age. Actually, not against my age because, you know,
I don't want to be younger. Okay. Actually, I talked a lot. And thank you for listening until this point, actually. Yeah. See you.

Accidentally, sort of, got virus on it, you know, accidentally. And then I got my 7 laptop, which is working. I'd like to point out, is it working? Just about. Uh, and I've got an XP laptop for things that don't work on 7. And, yo, what's up?

Well, hi, um, uh, like you, Lord Vidora does not say your actual name, but that's how it's said, but anyway, um, like you, I started out with a Windows XP computer, I was, uh, you know, I, uh, I was about maybe, I was like maybe seven or eight at the time, um, I think, I don't remember, but I had that, and it kind of got infected with a virus, because I had to go, you know, pfft, sucker, um, and then,
we had that, and then we had, um, and then, I got another Windows, um, yeah, Windows computer, it was my mom's old one, both these, the first one I had was my dad's old one, then my mom's old one, and then, after that, I got my own, which had Windows 7 on it, now, at the time, I had no idea what the heck Windows XP and Windows 7 were, I had no idea, but, I mean, you know, I wasn't really that smart back then, at least as far as computer technology,
goes, I mean, I didn't, like, I grew up in a world that doesn't, like, before I started using computers, I wasn't really that much of a techie person, I, no, I really never had been before this, but, I mean, you know, but it's gotten better, you know, I'm still a bit rough with my technology, but, I mean, with technology knowledge, but, I'm getting better at it, but, still.
Anyway, yeah.
