radio stations and computer security

I know this may seem like a silly question, but if I were to listen to a radio station from the vast selection of media offered by Klango, could I get any viruses or other malware that could be on the stream itself? I'm very computer security conscious, that's why I'm asking that question.

Re: radio stations and computer security

viruses in a stream aren't even technically possible.

Re: radio stations and computer security

Most of these stations can't be played here.

Re: radio stations and computer security

To answer the question from the OP here. No, this is not possible. A Media stream doesn't download any data that could infect your computer. And yes, the media Katalog needs a cleanup at some point.

Re: radio stations and computer security

If it's the same media catalog from 00s as in original Klango a lot of streams will be outdated. Audio can't broke your computer if it's only audio.

Re: radio stations and computer security

sadly you can't add the new stuff.

Re: radio stations and computer security

klango cant exicute programs that are not made for it other than giving windows the lead over and i think it woarns you before it does that.

I think if we are going to add new streams the way, to add a stream, will have to be updated and recoded so we can add the new stuff, and also we should check what streams still work and archive them, and then add the new streams. It will take one step, at a time.
