Hi everyone.
I thought I might start posting here because its clearly been a while while since anyone has posted here for obvious reasons.
What I can't believe is that this program exists in 2026.
I never thought this would happen.
Here's hoping it gets popular again and I think advertising is important, for sure.
I hope more people see this in the near future.
I'm so happy this is back. Not sure who is the dev, but it has gotten some new features for sure (having seen the Gemini integration inside of Settings). This is 10000x better than Elten in its current state even. I unfortunately was introduced to this programme right when it went down in 2018 or somewhere around that, so I am super stoked for this.
this is so epic, I have a thing for old software, and did not see this coming, but the nagain, with ai and vibe coading, it seems anything is possible nowadays
yeah, it sure feels good to be back on this thing after so many years
We now have both Elten and Klango. I am still going to be on Elten but maybe not as much, not sure yet. What about the rest of you?
Hello this is Jason kb3icc so glad this program is back, I was so disappointed when klango shut down I been asking for the return, of this proapp for years, and now prayers are answered, I am looking forward to the future of this app improving and becomming the best operating system app ever, yes you heard it right I think this is more like a sim or an operating system way better than an app so I hope klango stays forever I am so happy I can't describe how I am feeling now I used to contribute allot to this app glad to see it back.
Thank you for all the kind words guys. Klango was the first social network I ever used. It thought me kind a few things, and I made connections there that I still have till this day, although i am now almost double the age that I had when I joined klango. I am so glat that it makes you all so happy as well.
Outa curiosity, how did you guys all hear about klango?
And just a quick thing, I moved this topic into the klango forum, as the forum just called forum was a remnand out of a test run after the server migration on the weekend. I'll clean it up now.
Hey. So, I was introduced to Klango by my brothers when they were using it. I don't remember when, but I was definitely a kid when I found out about it. I mostly used it for the podcasts. I just wish I could get in touch with the devs, because this app needs some help, for sure.

@2 thanks for the tip about gemini. I have not explored the app fully. I am glad its back. Iether way, i found klango in 2008, when it was new, and met my life long best friend here, along side other people. Even today my friend and i are still in comunication, and it would have not happend if klango hadn't been around. Also the media catalog. I hope it gets restored to its former glory. Also already using my windows theme lol.
I love it! I wish I could find a voice theme that sounds better than this one, just because I am not a fan of the cap sound, and the loading sound makes me uncomfortable.
I wish we could get an elten, especially the old elten sound theme.

I originally used this program back in version 3.4 and a little before that. This latest version, though, I heard about on the audiogames.net forum. With regards to suggestions, I'd love to see a thing made possible where klango could speak through your screen reader or similar. That would be useful. Either that or just interface with any existing SAPI5 voices on your system.
It happens to be able to use Sapi actually, edepending on how te language and voice is set.
Apparently it can't do that with the program being set to English. At least I didn't see a way to do so when I checked.
I started using Klango back in 2008, a friend told me and others about it. I used the original Klango until it shut down. I am so happy that it is back, I get to enjoy the Media Catalog again.
