Hello guys, so yall may know me from elten, and speaking of, so some people have mixed feelings about this new program, because, they think this is a, uh, clone? And they also think that someone could be sued because of this new clone. But others like this program, so, what are your thoughts on this program now that it is back?
i feel that people get worried about nothing sometimes. some people are also entitled sadly. bringing this program back made me remember the good old days. either way people are going to be of two minds about this.
I'm ecstatic! except it's missing some stuff I'd want.
I'm also glad to see this return. I remember spending many hours on here as a kid looking at youtube videos of stuff. That was a lot of fun. Course that was under my old account, darth, if I remember correctly.
The old developers have said in their last post they that don't mind if someone can bring it back. They recommended even Elten as an alternative I believe.
Theoretically I can say the interface after b6 is better and less crashy
Its somewhat better, it has features that Elten does not have, but it has some very obvious bugs, like the brief not responding thing when Klango or one of the programs start up, and the speech synthesis settings being a confusing mess to navigate.

Also this web browser of the forums is better than the forums themselves for me.

Yeah, plenty of things are this way.
I was trying rooms earlier and they have a bug that the connecting music loops and never stops, even though you are connected.
I am using a screen reader mode, so I won't say if you are notifiedd if connected when this happens or not as I know this is experimental.
but the music was noisy that I left, eventually.
Also something I'd love fixed is if I pressed escape when reading the threads, it doesn't let me select another group, but it leads me to the place where I go alt for menu.
Of corse some people will scream clone. ... Then sign up just to so called see what the fuss is all about, Dislike a bug, and go back to screaming clone. I Am happy its back in a sence, but i dont feal that it will get much traction in 2026 as it did in 2008/2013 cause it was pretty much dead after that.
my thoughts on this: I'm really thrilled to see this program make a comeback after all these years for starters. I have vary fond memories of having used it back in the day, as do I'm sure, most of us.
I have to agree with one of the above posters, in regard to changing the speech synth being vary clunky, and when I manage to get it changed, at least on my end, the settings don't save once the program is closed. Also, and this could simply be something I'm overlooking, but I'm not seeing any ability to ajust the player's volume control. If this is present, could someone please point me in that direction?
uh, changing speech is not complicated? its all sub menus?
The speech settings dialog should be much better then it used to be.
And yes you can change klangos master volume with f5/f6 on both windows and macos.
Hey- I am glad to see Klango is back! had so much fun on here 15 years ago. how do I change the speech symnthesis? mine is speaking in e-speak. I am using mac OS.
