klangten? The heck is this you may ask?
apparently this is a fork of Elten which allows it to connect to the klango servers. I haven't really tested it yet TBH

It could use the iimprovement, but I am more comfortable with it.
Yeah. Klangten is an experimental elten fork that instead though uses the klango network. It is for all the people that prefer the elten client, also it will steer in a very differet direction as the normal elten client. For example, media catalogue is back integrated into elten and it's not a closed one but the klango open one, the feed is not the elten feed but a mastodon client and more services that you can put there will follow, and file manager is also back in the program. Also, it runs natively on android, although this is experimetal. An official announcement will follow.
I keep it in the background to check Mastodon with it and it is keeping me happy.
I hope this Elten fork is open source, since Elten is licensed under the GPL.
I tested it and found several bugs: 1. When being in a voice forum, Klangten won't read the recorded titles and only say voice post. 2. The file manager is not in the Programs menu. When trying to install it it is not there. Where can I find it? Using 0.2.0
Oh I am wondering that as well, and oops I found it on the website and yep its an actual fork on GitHub, which is good.
I found it but it only takes me to the Klango downloads page.
The file manager is no longer a program but included into elten. I never understood why it was removed from there in the first place, so i put it back. Same for youtube. It is now just under "files" in the menu. Also, this made it easier to port it to android.
And yes, it's fully open source under gpl v3 to comply with the elten license terms.
That's cool. The Mastodon integration somewhat reminds me of my Eltodon thing Seedy and I were making.
I am glad abouthis app, glad it's coming along glad to see the new improvements and all is well here.
I am going to try klangton as well glad eltin and klango are working together.
They are not. It is a separate client, just under the same source.
No we are not working together, klangten is also beeing maintained by me.
I'm wondering is it possible toimport Elten soundthemes into Klangton? I can't find where the data is stored.
Technically, they are using the same format. How ever, due to licensing and because it wouldn't be quite the nice move, elten soundthemes from the server won't be loaded into klangten directly.
So where's the data folder that I have to put Elten soundtheme files in, I looked in %appdata%\roaming and there's no Klangton folder there.
Sorry, but there is no files entry in the menu. I only have the quick actions, community, media catalog, pgrograms, toos, help. Where is the file manager?
i dont like elton but i should try it with klango
klango on android? aaaa! I want that haha
I am suddenly having a huge lag issue with Klangton in the forums and lists/text fields in general where it will take several seconds to respond to my actions, like I type a letter and its taking like 5 seconds to insert that letter into the text field. I had this issue on the main Elten 3 a few days back, its annoying.
OK now its suddenly started again on official Elten again, either my PC is being stupid or there's some weirdness happening with the clients, its hard to diagnose it properly.
there was Klango on symbian at one point but it was just a beta.
